Musing from ‘back in the day’

After my marriage to my Teddo I entered into my Interdependent
stage and was moved to embrace Judaism. In my marriage I needed to embrace
my loving husband and his heritage thinking that that would lead to
fulfillment. I wanted to give my husband the space to explore and
connect with his roots. This was a difficult time as I strove to
maintain a caring and loving environment and yet maintain our own
separate identities. I was still growing in this stage as I learned to
better care for my family, for others and for myself. My tendency has
been to submerge my identity into the whole of my family and our world.
Consequently I am continually challenged to be aware of who I am in the
midst of others.
